If Steps 4 & 5 mean 'clean house & trust another', then I need to remember to clean house more than once. I need to 'clean house and trust another' many times over and over. I don't clean my house just once, so I shouldn't expect to complete one Step Four inventory and be done.
As much as I know what helps, sometimes I forget the importance of 'writing the inventory with pen and paper'. It's truly amazing to see the process occur when thoughts are visible for the eye and heart to examine. I fully trust this process and believe the most valuable tool I have when I'm angry, is journaling my thoughts.
If you're like me, I know when it's time to get another inventory started...my life usually becomes uncomfortable and I feel discontent and irritable. I find myself bothered with people, places or things easily. All of this means I am taking the inventory of others, when in fact, I need to take a good look at what is going on with me. I need to focus on my own inventory rather than all those around me. When I'm pointing the finger at you and what you need to change, there are always 3 fingers pointing back straight at me.

Alumni of Valley Hope, on Saturday, May 31. This is a volunteer coordinated event with prizes awarded and fun for all. Proceeds benefit patients seeking treatment. If you’re interested, in participating, just reply to this email.
